ChatXport Web Refund Policy
Try before you buy
ChatXport Web has a free version that lets you open and read up to 300 messages of any chat before paying. We encourage you to use it first to confirm the Service works for you and your files. Because of this, most questions people have are answered before any payment is made.
What you are buying
The full version is a one-time purchase that unlocks the complete chat beyond the free limit. It is a digital product and is made available to you immediately after payment.
When we offer a refund
Because the free version lets you confirm the viewer works before you pay, the full version exists to do two things you have not yet been able to test: show the chat beyond the free limit, and export it to PDF or XLS. If, within 7 days of payment, the full version fails to do either of these because of a technical fault on our side that we cannot resolve for you, for example the full chat not displaying after unlock or an export not working, we will refund your purchase.
To request a refund, email hello@chatxport.com from the address used for the purchase, include your payment or transaction reference, and describe the problem so we can try to fix it first. If we cannot resolve it, we will refund you.
When a refund may not apply
Because you can evaluate the free version before paying, we may decline refunds requested simply for a change of mind after the full version has worked as described, or where the issue is outside our control (for example, a damaged or incomplete export file produced by WhatsApp itself, rather than a fault in our Service). We will always look at requests fairly and in good faith.
How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method via our payment provider, Pesapal. The time it takes to appear depends on Pesapal and your bank or mobile money provider. We do not store your card or mobile money details.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with a purchase, please contact us first at hello@chatxport.com. We would much rather solve it directly than have you raise a chargeback, which can take longer for everyone.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version posted here, with the effective date above, is the one that applies.
